Pottery
I’m a full time ceramic artist and upcycle-queen making peculiar pottery in Colorado. When I’m not playing with mud, I’m cuddling my three rescue pups, hitting up an estate sale, or watching the latest murder docuseries with a bag of cool-ranch Doritos. My love of ceramics began at the thrift store. In college, I collected second-hand mugs, later turning my attention to handmade pieces. I found myself pouring over every detail, wondering how they were made, getting lost in the feel of the handle, glazes, and designs. After graduating with a degree in music therapy, my husband William and I relocated from Texas, almost 1000 miles north to our heart-place, in Colorado. I took my first pottery class in Boulder in 2017. In 2019 I stumbled upon my first set of second-hand doll molds at a used art supply store. I combined crushed dry clay with water to act as pouring slip, and cast my first baby head (which I still have), and I’ve been obsessed ever since.
